Pia and Utah’s Hyatt Wedding

What an amazing day – beautiful sunny, warm weather and a truely wonderful wedding. Pia and Utah were married at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra in the lush Lavender Garden. After the wedding we scooted around some Canberra icons to get some awesome photos. Some of the bridal party may have thought I was a bit crazy when we had a leaf fight, but it quickly turned into a real competition between the girls and guys. The reception was held at the National Portrait Gallery – an amazing venue.

Louise and Shane’s Country Wedding

Louise and Shane’s wedding was held on one of their very close friends(and neighbours) property in Adaminaby. And what an awesome day it was. They had a beautiful ceremony under the trees and then the adventure started as we did some shots around the farm before heading off in the 4wds to explore the huge property. The old sheep pens were a great backdrop and the amazing texture of the gum trees helped add some vibrant colour. And no, it wasn’t a shot gun wedding, they actually do love each other!!! (very much)

At the reception I was amazed by how much talent there was within their group of friends. The band – Sly Dogs – were very kind and allowed some of the guests to have a go at singing, drums and back up vocals – they did a fantastic job.

Carla and Robb’s Wedding at The Hyatt

It was one of those days where the important question was being asked every hour – is it going to rain???? No chances were taken so we had the ceremony inside the Hyatt in Canberra. Following a beautiful ceremony we wandered over to Nara Park before heading off the the National Gallery for some more creative photos. The dark clouds were looming and we just made it back to the car before the storm hit. Good timing!

Amy and Peter’s Wedding in Narooma

I LOVE shooting weddings in Narooma! What a fantastic location and we had the most amazing weather – lots of sun and cloud just when we needed it. Our bridal party had a ball as we visited a few locations down at Tilba and then back to Narooma for some shots on the golf course. A perfect day.

What can I say. A wonderful couple, fun loving bridal party and some great locations. I was fortunate enough to have Haley Richardson along as a second shooter and the lovely Annie who helped out as the rain started, the cars were nearly bogged and the girls were turning blue from the cool wind. Haley and I captured some exciting shots.

Such an amazing day. After doing shots at their respective homes, it was off to Saint Christophers in Manuka for the wedding ceremony. We had a ball on the photo shoot until the cool weather started to take its toll, so it was off to the Southern Cross Club in Woden for the reception. There wasn’t a dry eye when Lisa and Aaron were doing their parent dance. A perfect wedding and a perfect couple.

This time of year has the most beautiful light in the late afternoon. After a wonderful ceremony at the Chapel at Gold Creek we drove to the Wallaroo winery near Hall and took advantage of the very fast fading light. Such a wonderful couple and I know they enjoyed the day as much as I did.

Rosa and Pedro

I have been lucky enough to have know Pedro for a couple of years so it felt like I was sharing the day with good friends. Rosa had her dream of the horse and carriage which looked magnificant and allowed me to use it to get some great shots. The horse was so patient, stood there quietly the whole time (and no poo! – well i didn’t see any). After Saint Christophers, we did some shots with the carriage and then drove to Mount Stromlo – fantastic cars guys!! I pulled out the box brownie and we had some fun doing some retro shots. Was having so much fun Maggie had to tell me to stop shooting! Thank you so much for allowing me to share your day.

Another perfect day for a wedding. We started with some shots with the girls and Kristy’s dad had his motor bike there as well – had to get a shot with that – nice bike!! After the ceremony we had some fun at the National Museum and then down to the lake for some more ‘romantic’ shots. Hope I didn’t make Kristy dizzy with the spinning around bits!!

The run of wet weddings finally broke with Kim and Ben’s wedding held at the golf club in Narooma. A perfect sunny day for holding a wedding on the top of the cliff. We even had a pod of dolphins swim past to entertain the guests! Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your wedding day.
