Monika and Hector’s wedding

Wow!! What an amazing day! We arrived where the boys were getting ready to find Hector running up and down the street in his undies (it was for the video) – great shots! Monika looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous wedding dress and I loved the bright colour of the bridesmaids dresses.

Everything flowed smoothly and we were lucky enough to be able to go to a number of fantastic locations to get some amazing shots.

The colourful reception was held at the Southern Cross Club and what a night! Heaps of traditional dancing, yummy lolly bar (I only had 2!!), lots of laughter and a few tears during the speeches – perfect!

It didn’t rain – yay!! There is so much to tell about this wonderful day but as this is a ‘sneak peak’ - it will have to wait for a little bit.

Rebecca and Dan’s garden wedding

Bec and Dan had an amazing day. Everything went smoothly and the retro and Movember influence was brilliantly done. Never seen so many ladies with a mo!! Poachers Pantry was the perfect venue for their wedding and everyone had a crazy time in the Mugshots photo Booth. What more can I say – the photos tell the story.

April and Chris’s wedding in Canberra

A very windy but sunny day made for a beautiful ceremony in the grounds of The Boathouse Restaurant. The air was filled with Kapok seeds (white fluffy things) that were so thick it made the ground look like snow – of course we had to get some shots with them – a Winter wonderland!!

Laura and James’ wedding

Laura and James were married on the family property at Murrumbateman. And what an amazing day – just after the ceremony Laura sang a beautiful song to James (in front of all of us) and there wasn’t a dry eye anywhere – it is hard to focus the camera when that happens. Sniff! The last shot – it is the right way up.

Lisa and Ben’s Canberra Wedding

Both families flew in from China to watch Lisa and Ben celebrate their wedding at the Gold Creek Chapel. Although it rained, it didn’t stop them from having a perfect wedding day and we managed to get some beautiful photos before heading off to the Boat House Restaurant for some warmth, dancing and wonderful food.

July is one of those funny months where you never know what sort of day you will get, but we were very lucky as we had a sunny day, that warmed us up and made it easier to brave the icy wind. Gemma and Ben had their ceremony at The Boathouse and we then visited Duntroon to get some shots before heading down to the lake for some time out of the wind and a chance to have some fun. I think the girls were very happy to arrive back at the Boathouse and enjoy the beautiful wood fire!

Victoria and Tim’s wedding – with a mystery guest!!!

What an amazing day!! I love the Orthodox weddings – lots of colour and wonderful traditions.

I couldn’t stop taking photos of Victoria’s grand father (lots of character) and I taught the bridesmaids on the many uses of a humble pillow – in this case it was a light reflector!

We had amazing light for part of the shoot – that wonderful golden yellow and when it faded, we moved to the top of a hill to find what ever light we could and when that ran out, we made our own using remote flash and finally some sparklers!

The reception was very lively and lucky for Tim, his hero – Spiderman – made an appearance, but not sure what happened to Tim as we were looking for him to protect his wife from Spiderman’s overly friendly advances and couldn’t find him anywhere! Hmmmmm! Oh well, Spiderman enjoyed himself.

Lyndsay and Andy – Wedding at On Red Restaurant

Lyndsay and Andy flew in from Western Australia for their wedding. Well Lyndsay and Andy made it but Andy’s best man nearly didn’t because of the volcanic cloud – luckily it all turned out okay in the end.

I am sure the cooler weather here must have been a bit of a shock for them, but the girls soldiered on and braved the icy winds we encountered on top of Red Hill.
